AS4716 (MIL-G-5514)

The double-acting LK piston sealing set is designed for installation in industry-specific grooves according to AS4716 (MIL-G-5514) and used in hydraulic and electromechanical actuators in aviation applications.

The LK piston sealing set consists of a PTFE piston sealing ring and an elastomer part which serves as a preloading element. Due to the material combination of the slide ring (PTFE) and the pre-loading element (elastomer), this product is suitable for a wide range of applications, especially for aggressive media and/or high and low temperatures.

Benefits:

• Can also be used for single-acting applications.

• Excellent wear resistance.

• Minimal break-away and dynamic friction and no stick-slip tendency ensures uniform motion even at low speeds.

• Good energy efficiency due to low friction.

• High temperature resistance in case of suitable compound selection.

• Installation in closed and undercut housings.

• Adaptable to nearly all media thanks to high chemical resistance of the sealing ring and large compound selection for the elastomer pre-tensioning element.

• Dimensions according to AS4716 (MIL-G-5514).

Hydraulic or electromechanical actuators in aviation applications.
