For more than 40 years we have been known for our torsionally rigid metal bellows couplings, a special type of servo coupling. Gradually, new product areas were added to our company’s portfolio, so that in the field of drive technology we now offer not only metal bellows couplings but also elastomer or claw couplings, miniature couplings for the smallest drives, as well as spacer couplings or cardan shafts for torque transmission over distances of up to six meters . Our numerous series in the area of safety clutches and torque limiters also ensure reliable overload protection.
When it comes to tool and workpiece clamping in mechanical engineering, we have been able to build up a broad product portfolio in the clamping technology area. Wherever tools or workpieces have to be reliably secured with high clamping forces, products from JAKOB Antriebstechnik are used. From power clamping nuts and screws that replace their conventional versions to power clamping spindles that enable high clamping forces in face plates or jaw boxes, we offer you a variety of reliable and efficient clamping devices that not only make working safer but also more comfortable. All clamping products from JAKOB Antriebstechnik are based on an ingenious power amplification system with which, depending on the series, enormous clamping forces can be generated manually, hydraulically or hydromechanically.
JAKOB Antriebstechnik has also developed an efficient protection system, the motor spindle protection MS³, for the sensitive motor spindles of machine tools. In the event of an uncontrolled axial or radial collision, it protects the sensitive components of the motor spindle, such as the spindle bearings, from serious consequences. As a rule, after the tool has been replaced, machining can be continued as usual, there are neither high repair costs nor longer downtimes of the machine.
Finally, we offer manual and automatic (pneumatic) profile rail couplings for quickly connecting and disconnecting profile rails, such as those used in press transfers. Our PKH (horizontal joining) and PKV (vertical joining) series are available for all common profile sizes.
