Drop-In-Place Seals

Parker’s Drop-In-Place Seals are custom designed seals that perfectly fit into complex groove patterns without needing to be stretched or retained with additional adhesives. Drop-In-Place Seals achieve maximum sealing in aggressive environments.

Each Drop-In-Place Seal is designed with the application in mind, taking into consideration the material and manufacturing process of the mating surfaces to determine the most efficient design. Offered in a variety of profiles these seals offer numerous advantages over standard O-Rings.

Designed to retain in straight-wall or dove-tail grooves, Drop-In-Place Seal designs utilize either a rubber encapsulated plastic or metal backbone. Both options are lined with retention and stabilizer ribs to ensure a snug fit in the groove as well as enhancing sealing performance under pressure. Drop-In-Place Seals accommodate simple or complex seal shapes, facilitate installation and provide automation possibilities. Small contact points require less flange loading and provide maximum sealing under minimal pressure for non-ideal surfaces.
