Industrial hydraulics comprises hydraulic equipment that is mainly used in industry. The 3 categories hydraulic tools such as hydraulic cylinders, torque tools or nut splitters, manually or electrically operated hydraulic pumps or system components such as hydraulic hoses, valves or connectors can be distinguished. Industrial hydraulics are mainly used where heavy loads have to be lifted, large torques have to be generated or high pressures have to be applied. This is usually achieved with the hydraulic medium oil.
