Elastomer couplings are pluggable, backlash-free and flexible shaft couplings for small to medium torques.
A plastic star with involute-shaped teeth and high Shore hardness is used as the connecting and balancing element. This is inserted in a form-fitting manner with a slight preload in two high-precision hubs with claw-shaped cams. The elastic coupling star can compensate for minor shaft misalignments, is electrically isolating and has good vibration-damping properties
There are several standard variants with a backlash-free, non-positive shaft-hub connection to choose from, which ensure reliable torque transmission even without an additional feather key.
