These cable glands are designed to meet very specific norms and standards. They therefore differ in design and function from the premium cable glands of the HSK series. DIN cable glands offer special clamping ranges and have a particularly low overall height.
HSK Series cable glands comply with highest demands as regards quality and safety. Two different EMC protection systems ensure long contact life and easy-to-assemble application. Different thread types, thread lengths, clamping ranges, temperature ranges, a variety of sealing compounds and a diversity of Approval Certifications come as standard with the HSK Series.
Cable glands of the HSK-Ex series are designed for use on electrical equipment in hazardous areas with protection type "e" according to EN 60079. Two different EMC protection systems ensure long-term contacting and easy assembly.
Cable glands of the HSK-Ex-d series are designed for use on electrical equipment in hazardous areas with protection type "d" according to EN 60079.
The plastic cable glands for the Ex area meet the ignition protection types Ex e. This applies to all areas where "increased safety" is prescribed. The range includes cable glands in numerous sizes for all common clamping ranges as well as variants with multi and flat cable inserts.
Metal for hazardous areas are available in brass (nickel-plated) and stainless steel versions. PVDF sealing inserts are recommended for applications at very high temperatures. In addition to numerous sizes and variants for many clamping ranges, HUMMEL also offers multi and flat cable inserts.
These cable glands are designed for use in "Hazardous Areas". The high-end design EXIOS already has certification in accordance with the most recent, tightened-up IECEx and ATEX standards.
